WE have had a company meeting (outside with Social Distancing!!) and we are now fully committed to opening on Saturday 4th July. This decision has been laborious in the making as we have had to fully investigate the necessary restrictions and guidelines set out by the Government to ensure that we are fully compliant with being Covid-19 Secure.
We have digested and implemented every possible document officially issued and we are now undertaking serious training sessions with all our staff – our main priority is the customer and the staff’s safety.Only staff members who have successfully gained their Covid-Secure Certificate will be allowed back to work.
NOW ONGOING….. if you are dining inside with us you will not feel much different – only that there is more distance between the tables, the music slightly lower but the staff attentiveness as superb as ever.
If you are after just a cheeky vino or pint you will have to think a little more ahead and book as there will only be a few drinking tables available, and of course the garden. We advise that all tables for food, drink or in the garden are all pre-booked, although if you take a chance we will of course fit you in if at all possible. There will inevitably be a queue for food and drinks in the garden but please bear with us as we will be trying our hardest to deal with everyone as quickly as we safely can.
We are unable to accept cash and also to enable the pub to trade out of an enforced 3 month closure we have had to make the decision to put the privilege card and its benefits on hold. Therefore no points can be accrued or redeemed until further notice, if you have any points – these are not lost.
We will take this opportunity to review the privilege card and it’s features to see if we can improve upon it and its performance. We look forward to seeing you all again – yes it will not be the same but we fully intend for it to be “a good different” 😊
Finally Debbie & Duane have stated that if for any reason they do not feel confident for the staff and customer safety they will re-close pub. As much as it is their livelihood – lives matter more. They hope with everyones support we will all be back in the strong position we were before this disaster!!
We look forward to seeing you all soon – and please try and book 😊
