In early October this was a busy place with two sittings for Sunday Lunch. The family arrived early and we waited with others for the doors to open at noon. Booking seems to be essential. My family of four adults and two 3 year olds were well place in a corner out of the way which suited us. There was a good selection on the printed menu and on the specials board and a children’s ‘menu. One person had roast lamb which was excellent I am told. I had the pork tenderloin which I would recommend. the rest had fish and chips. I know the chips were good because pinched a few! We all seemed to share each others puddings of which there was a good selection. A selection of local ales and ciders were available.
